Morning Glory

Morning Glory Cafe, a partnership between Catholic Charities of Kansas City - St. Joseph, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Episcopal Community Services, provides breakfast and a "to-go" lunch four days a week to 400 of our most vulnerable neighbors in downtown Kansas City. The Cafe opens at 7:15 every Tuesday through Friday morning and breakfast service is from 7:30-8:30 am. The intimate "cafe" atmosphere provides a reprieve for our guests who know when they come, they are welcome as they are humbly served by the most compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers in the city. Each morning guests dine on a delicious, healthy breakfast. Often volunteer groups bring in homemade breakfast casseroles, biscuits and gravy, or fresh fruit as a special treat. Even on "regular" days, there are fresh orange juice, coffee, delicious bagels, cold cereal and oatmeal to enjoy.
