Work involves following up on donation calls and receiving community donations of furniture, clothing, food items and other personal items for clients who are veterans and assimilating into society after periods of homelessness.

Once received, donations must be sorted and organized in order to assist staff and clients in finding appropriate items and facilitating inspections of the materials. 

Facilitates transportation sign-up sheet. 

Tracks resident needs and reports them to the site coordinator. Other Specifics

Preserving professional boundaries with clients is of an utmost concern.

Volunteers must be able to take direction directly from the site coordinator.

Must have availability one day per week between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Qualities needed for this position include friendliness, patience and a desire to assist individuals in need.

St. Michael’s staff is available to answer questions and provide information and support to persons in this position.
