The City of Little Rock annual BikePed Count helps us better understand how bicycle and pedestrian behavior is changing over time, where people are walking and biking, and what infrastructure changes influence walking and biking frequency.
For this volunteer opportunity, you will essentially sit or stand at a corner and record how many walkers and bike commuters go by (there are more specific instructions on location-specific instruction sheets at https://www.littlerock.gov/residents/bikeped-little-rock/bikeped-count/).
* We are not meeting together at a centralized location. You will go directly to your count location with your instruction sheet, your count sheet(s) (also found on website above), your pens/pencils, and whatever else you choose to bring.
* Please be at your location a few minutes before your shift starts so that you can start counting on the hour, when all other locations start counting, so locations can be compared apples to apples.
* Please either download the count form and instructions or pick them up at 701 W. Markham before your shift starts. There are unique instructions for each location; you need only to print the instructions for your location.
