Sandestin Wine Festival

The long-running event attracts wine aficionados, celebrity chefs, and restaurateurs to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for four days of all things food and wine. This year’s Sandestin Wine Festival will take place from April 15 to 18. 400 happy, helpful volunteers are needed to staff this multi day event and receive a FREE t-shirt and taster ticket. A portion of the proceeds benefit our Fisher House on Eglin in a BIG way. Find out more about the event here.

Scan/Wristband/Glasses

3:30 PM - 6:30 PM Skills: standing for long periods

Requires Standing"/ Scanning "Locate in the middle of the line, electronically scanning barcode on all tickets. Requires Standing."/ Wristbands Located at the end of the line; distributing tickets. Requires Standing./ Wine glasses/taster's guides "Underneath the tent, overseeing and restocking. Distribute glasses, taster's guides and pencils. Free taster ticket Friday or Saturday

Event Captain

3:30 PM - 9:00 PM Skills: Leaderhip, Directing

Requires pre-approval and training. These individuals will be responsible for areas and groups of people, assigned a radio for communication. This shift receives a free taster ticket for Saturday.

ID Verification

4:00 PM - 6:30 PM Skills: Detail Oriented

"Located at the front of the line behind ticket sales--required to attend a safe vending class beforehand. Requires Standing" This shift gets a FREE taster ticket for Friday or Saturday.

Floater

4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Skills: Walking, Stand, Bend, Reach, Lift

Will relieve other positions for breaks, may be pouring, buckets, etc. This shift gets a free taster ticket for Saturday.

Shift is Filled Up Shifts filled 90 out of 90

Pourers

4:00 PM - 8:30 PM Skills: standing for long periods , Friendly people person

Pourers Pour wine for patrons. Must be certified. Requires Standing. Guest interaction. This shift gets a free taster ticket for Saturday and pourers are not allowed to taste while pouring. Very important.

Buckets

4:00 PM - 8:30 PM Skills: Stand, Bend, Reach, Lift

Bucket Brigade Handles distribution of water jugs and buckets to each of the tables on Friday and Saturday. Also responsible for emptying these as they fill during the day, then collecting and rinsing them at the end of the day. Will be standing and walking during entire shift. This shift gets a free taster ticket for Saturday. If underage, no ticket, but opened to teenagers.

6:00 PM - 8:30 PM Skills: Friendly people person

Breakdown

7:30 PM - 9:30 PM Skills: Stand, Bend, Reach, Lift

Secures all items for the evening, general clean up and reset for Saturday. This shift gets a free taster ticket for Saturday.
