Setup

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Skills: Lifting, Moving, Flexible, Set Up

Assist with festival setup including moving tables and chairs, posting signage, and decorating festival areas.This role may also be responsible for marking booths for the outdoor portion of the festival.

Vendor/Sponsor Support 2

1:30 PM - 4:30 PM Skills: Moving, Coordinator, Stocking, Communication, Friendly

Responsible for checking in with vendors and sponsors throughout the event and reporting any needs or concerns to the appropriate board chair. Some volunteers will be stationed outside the VIP sponsor area to ensure that only VIP sponsors and Lancaster Pride board members are allowed entry. Make sure the VIP lounge remains stocked and report any needs back to the Sponsorship Director. Additionally, volunteers may be asked to assist with the setup and teardown of the VIP lounge as needed.

Festival Entry/Queue 3

Greeting people as they enter the festival Will need to keep track of number of people coming into the festival. Some volunteers will also be walking the line at entry to help people guide people into different security lanes. This role will also be responsible for setup and teardown of the entry zone.

Perimeter Support 1

10:30 AM - 1:30 PM Skills: Friendly, Standing for Long Periods, Security

Positioned at various points throughout the festival grounds, this volunteer will help ensure that all attendees enter through the designated main entrance. They will monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry, including ensuring that guests of the convention center do not access the secure festival areas. Additionally, they will be responsible for making sure that only Lancaster Pride board members are entering restricted zones.

Assist with the setup and teardown of the merchandise table. Throughout the event, they will help keep merchandise stock organized and replenished, and will assist attendees with purchases.

Entertainment Check-In 2

12:00 PM - 3:30 PM Skills: Check-In, Friendly

Responsible for checking in entertainers as they arrive, providing them with wristbands and information packets as needed. They will also direct entertainers to the designated green room.

Entertainment Support 1

Assist with moving entertainers on and off the stage and will work closely with the stage manager and tech team to ensure smooth transitions. They will help escort entertainers from the green room to the stage, provide support within the green room, and ensure it remains stocked and organized. Additionally, they will act as a liaison between the entertainers and the Director of Entertainment, helping to communicate any needs or updates as they arise.

Volunteer Support 1

Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to assist with the setup and teardown of the volunteer check-in station. During the event, they will help check in volunteers as they arrive and direct them to their assigned areas, supporting the Volunteer Coordinator or Captain in ensuring a smooth and organized check-in process.

Float throughout the festival grounds, assisting attendees by providing directions and general information as needed. Additionally work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to fill in any volunteer gaps, stepping into various roles to support the event wherever extra help is needed.

Assist with setup and teardown activities in the Kid/Craft Zone. Help attendees with the available crafts and games, creating a welcoming and fun environment for children and families. Volunteers in this role are required to obtain or already have the clearances necessary to work with children in the state of Pennsylvania.

Assit with the teardown and cleanup of the festival.

Assist with the setup of the vendor/sponsor load-in table. Assist vendors and sponsors with finding their table/area and getting them loaded into the convention center as quickly as possible. Will be directing sponsors/vendors to unload as quickly as possible and move car for next load-in group.
