After a long day at the hospital, there’s nothing more appreciated than a home-cooked meal. Get together with friends, family or co-workers to plan a menu and prepare a comforting meal for our families. We provide the kitchen, you provide the food. Whether a one-time event, or a monthly date, we invite you to come to the House and share your culinary skills with our families.
Here’s what you need to know about becoming a meal provider:
All meals must be prepared at the Ronald McDonald House or delivered from a restaurant or catering service. Our kitchen accommodates up to 15 people (including children) and has cookware and utensils needed to prepare your meal. You decide the menu but we encourage well-rounded menus (salad, main dish, vegetables, fruit) and dessert is optional.
Dinner: Servings for 25-30 people; serve at 6 p.m.
Meals are served buffet style. Although many families may not be present at the time the food is prepared, all meals are thoroughly enjoyed when our families return from the hospital.
Cleaning up after your meal is sincerely appreciated. This includes cleaning and returning all kitchen utensils, wiping down counters, loading the dishwasher and taking out the trash.
For Dinner: Please have 2 to 3 volunteers available to clean up and store leftovers at 7 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: If the date you want to volunteer does not have a blue link for group sign up, then the opportunity for that day is taken.
