Help our kids and their families staying at RMHC-KC take their mind off their health issues by donating a "Everyday Essentials Kit".  Sometimes are families are making emergency room or last minute hospital trips. Others are at the hospital all day and don't have time to shower and get ready before they leave RMHC-KC. A ready-made "Everyday Essentials Kit" helps give the comfort of convenience of having toiletries wherever they are. 

This is a great volunteer activity for youth/teen groups.  Each kit should include hygiene and toiletry items for families to take to the hospital with them to ease the stressful hospital atmosphere for a more positive experience.  The travel size toiletry items are perfect! Kits should be approximately 5-8 items per bag. The kits can be prepared in your own setting and dropped off at the houses any day between 8a-8p. There is no minimum or maximum number of kits that you can make.

Here are a few suggestions for the kits!

• Shampoo

• Conditioner 

• Body wash (preferably not bar soap)

• Toothbrush

• Toothpaste

• Razors

• Deodorant

• Face Wash

• Lotion

• Floss

• Q-Tips or Cotton Pads
