When families come to stay at Ronald McDonald House Charities, many of them are facing emotionally challenging times. We are looking for volunteers who can help us bring smiles to our families having a particularly hard day. These bags are used when a kiddo or parent just has a really rough day and can use a pick me up. We are asking volunteers to help create bags that have a sunshine or yellow theme to them. It would be great if they could be in a yellow bag similar to the picture or a yellow drawstring bag. The number you make is up to you and your group but we recommend a minimum of 10 bags. You can drop the sunshine bags off at the Longfellow House anytime between 8AM and 8PM, 7 days a week. The Longfellow House is located at 2502 Cherry St. Kansas City, MO 64111.

Here are some suggestions for the bags but feel free to be creative!

Sunny D
Funyons, regular lays chips
Rubber ducky toys
Activities that are yellow in color
Smile face anything (bouncy balls, cups, mugs, stickers, key chains etc)
Candy that's packaged in yellow packaging (peanut m&m's, DOTS, lemonheads, yellow laffy taffy, etc.)
Yellow notepads (ex: books in the shape of a rubber ducky)
Yellow pencils
Small stuffed animals that are yellow (ducks, sun shapes, etc)
