The Seed Farm's annual Spring Plant Sale is just around the corner, and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help us make it a success! Whether you are greeting customers, assisting with check out, or helping with set-up and clean-up, your support ensures a smooth and welcoming event for all!

 All experience levels welcome! We will provide guidance and support at every station.

As you sign up for your volunteer shift, please keep in mind the diffrent stations available for the event. If you have a specific role in mind, please let us know when registering. While we will do our best to accommodate preferences, we may need to assign volunteers based on event needs.

Volunteer Stations: 

All Shifts: Setup in morning or breakdown in afternoon. 

1. Parking-Direct visitors in safely entering and exiting parking spots. Vera Cruz Fire Dept will be helping direct traffic in/out of Vera Cruz.

2. Greenhouse-Monitor plant stock on tables and replace empty flats with backstock from under tables.

3. Tallying-Tally plant varieties and quanities using check-out slips while customers wait in line. Provide completed slitps to check-out team.

4. Check-Out- Use Square app to ring up sales, assist customers adding t-shirts/totes to their purchase, and ask if they woudl like to add a donation.

5. Helper-Carry flats of plants of visitors needing assistance (e.g. parents with strollers, those with multiple flats, or those with mobility challenges.

Volunteers must: 

- be 16 years old or older

- be accompanied by an adult if between the ages of 16 and 18

- wear sturdy footwear and clothing that can get dirty

- be able to stand for the duration of the volunteer shift

- assist in moving tables

Volunteers will receive two plants as thanks for each four-hour shift they complete.
