NOTE - All front Desk Volunteers - Please show enthusiasm to devotees; don't just sit behind the desk, actively help the devotees - like offering them Archana packets by hand, bring the chair if devotee needs it instead of just pointing it, etc. Thank you.

The Hindu Temple of Minnesota in Maple Grove is looking for Front Desk Volunteers to help manage the Kiosk and be the first point of contact for devotees.  Please read the attached document created by Sripadji for the instructions.

Front Desk Operational Manual

    Always be smiling while you help devotees.
    Check in to and check out from shift on time
    Make sure atleast 20 apple bags are ready. Every bag should have 2 apples and a yellow ticket.
    If anybody is going towards a kiosk, go, greet them, with Hi, hello, Namaste or Namaskaram and ask,
         If they are buying Archana
         Do they need any help in checking out?
        Personally, handover apples bag. Don't wait for devotees to come and get   (as they were doing before)
    Inform Archana will be done in 15 min to half hour.
    If there is no priests at temple floor and some people are waiting for Archana, find a priest and inform that someone are waiting for Archana.
    If priests are busy in big puja (Abhishek or private puja), inform to devotees they will come soon to perform Archana. Go to priests and inform.   
    If there is any unattended cooked prasaad around Golden doors or any other places, trash it.
    If any abhishek is going on, approach priest and ask do they need any help. Some help volunteers could do is trash milk cans, flower bunches etc              
    If any devotee is asking for any puja details or enquiry about any pujas, direct them to any available priests.
    If anyone is asking for facility booking information connect them with manager, if manager not available provide phone and email address of manager or Admin Chair’s Email address ([email protected]).
     If any senior citizens ask help for putting chair, help them.
    If you see any chairs that are not needed on main floor fold and put on chairs stand.
    If you see any suspicious activity by anybody in temple, inform to manager or any priests or call volunteer chair.  
    If you can’t make to committed shift, please inform.
    Have a book to read, when there is nothing to do or no devotees to are coming to temple.
