Spectrum Autism Support Group Internship Program
Unpaid | Flexible Schedule | In-Person & Hybrid Opportunities Available

Spectrum Autism Support Group offers a rewarding internship experience for high school and college students seeking to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector. Our interns support a wide range of projects and programs that benefit individuals and families impacted by autism in our community.

Internship Opportunities May Include:

• Program Development & Evaluation – Assist with the creation, implementation, and assessment of autism support programs, camps, and events.
• Event Planning & Coordination – Help organize and execute family events, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach efforts.
• Fundraising & Donor Engagement – Contribute to donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and grant research.
• Marketing & Communications – Write articles, develop social media content, and assist with email marketing and newsletters.
• Administrative Support – Provide general office support, data entry, and resource organization.
• Volunteer Coordination – Assist with volunteer communications, scheduling, and training documentation.

Ideal Candidates:

• High school juniors/seniors or college students seeking academic credit or professional development
• Strong communicators with a passion for community service and advocacy
• Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven team
• Those studying nonprofit management, education, social work, psychology, English, communications, or related fields

Internships are unpaid but provide rich, hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and a valuable opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. Spectrum proudly supports interns from Georgia Gwinnett College, Gwinnett Tech, and other institutions seeking meaningful community engagement.
