Skills:

Support families and caregivers by providing a structured, engaging, and fun day for individuals with autism. Volunteers help facilitate social, creative, and recreational activities so parents can enjoy some respite. All applications must be submitted via socialskillstoday.com.

Volunteer Tasks

Activity Support:
• Assist campers with arts & crafts projects
• Lead or support music and group games
• Supervise outdoor play or guided nature walks

Snack & Meal Support:
• Help organize and distribute snacks or lunches
• Monitor tables during mealtime and assist with cleanup

Check-In / Check-Out:
• Greet families on arrival and help with sign-in/out
• Ensure accurate attendance tracking and smooth transitions

Camp Supervision:
• Monitor activity areas for safety and engagement
• Provide gentle redirection and support during transitions
• Offer comforting presence or one-on-one help as needed

Setup & Cleanup:
• Help set up tables, craft supplies, and activity stations
• Assist with cleanup and reset for next session

• Patient, kind, and supportive demeanor
• Comfortable engaging with neurodiverse individuals
• Willing to follow instructions and work collaboratively
• Able to stay active and on your feet for the duration
• No prior camp experience necessary—just a caring heart!

Additional Notes
• Volunteers must be age 16+ (16–17 requires adult accompaniment)
• Brief orientation and all supplies will be provided
• Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes recommended
• Free onsite parking and light refreshments available
